Alabama Crimson Tide Week 11 basketball notes

It's an open week for the Crimson Tide which won't play again until Saturday (January 28) when it plays host to a divisional showdown with Mississippi State at 6 p.m. CT in a game that will be televised on FSN. Alabama goes into the week with a 10-7 overall and 3-2 SEC record with league wins against Auburn, Kentucky and Arkansas and losses to Ole Miss and LSU, both fellow Western Division teams. Freshman Richard Hendrix finished a solid week of work this past week, scoring 11 points and grabbing 11 rebounds against Arkansas last Wednesday night then following that on Saturday with 16 points and nine rebounds in his first trip to Baton Rouge to play LSU. Hendrix is averaging 10.2 points and 7.2 rebounds against the SEC in his first five league games. Jermareo Davidson continues to power the Tide of late. He's averaging 18.8 points against the SEC and 14.1 points overall in 17 games. He also leadsAlabama in rebounding with his 9.5 boards a game. He ranks third in the league (all games) in scoring and second in rebounding. Ronald Steele is averaging 40.40 minutes per SEC game. He has played all but three minutes in the Tide's SEC games.
